Paul Magill was born in Belfast in 1962, where he grew up in the east of the city. In his early twenties he moved to London where he lived and worked for 5 – 6 years before deciding he wanted to see a bit more of the world.

Since then he has travelled widely throughout Europe, India, Africa, Australia and Asia which has given him a different perspective on our social and economic environment. Now after over 10 years of travelling he has settled in Birmingham and still regularly travels throughout the UK and beyond.

During his travels Paul was never without a camera, combining his two passions in life has enabled him to develop his photography skills and experience while evolving his outlook on the world through the lens of a camera.

He is inspired by colour, texture and natural form but not tied down to any one style or one tried and tested method. Which gives him the freedom to explore and interpret his own reaction to this changing world.

His work is of a documentary nature and his images portray both urban and rural landscapes and invites the viewer to construct their own social commentary.
